The Northeast Groups master plan of evaluation for Princeton University focuses on the following curriculum components; Princetons mission and values, individual courses of the BSN program and the institutional environment. We plan on implementing a cohesive evaluation approach including formative, benchmarking and summative evaluation strategies. The formative evaluation will allow us to measure achievement (Center for Disease Control, n.d.). We will achieve this through course evaluations, measuring student outcomes and surveying student and staff satisfaction. Evaluating through benchmarking will provide direct comparison with other programs on the same level as Princeton. Through benchmarking we can evaluate items such as cost, program content, passage rates, strengths and weaknesses of the nursing program; all which can help us continually improve the program (Keating, 2015). By using a summative evaluation, we can collect data to be used to judge the final outcomes of the educational program.
